Children will learn what makes a family and the features of family life, recognising and respecting that there are different types of families, including single parents, same-sex parents, step-parents, blended families, foster and adoptive parents. They will then learn about safe relationships and the importance of personal boundaries, how to safely respond to others and the impact of hurtful behaviour.
