Our Vision and Values

Little Gonerby Church of England Primary Academy is a caring and Christian community. Our whole school family of children, parents, staff and governors have contributed to articulating our vision for the education we aim to provide. We are driven and inspired by Jesus words: 

“I have come so that you may have life in all its fullness”
(John 10:10)

At Little Gonerby, our Christian values are at the heart of everything we do. They shape our relationships, guide our behaviour and help us grow as caring, confident and responsible members of our community. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus, our values encourage us to live well together and to serve others with kindness and integrity.

• Compassion – We care for others with kindness, understanding and empathy. We notice when people need help and respond with warmth and practical support, following Jesus’ example of love in action.

• Honesty – We value truthfulness, integrity and fairness. We seek to do the right thing, take responsibility for our actions and build trust through our words and behaviour, even when it is difficult.

• Respect – We treat everyone with dignity and consideration, recognising that all people are created in God’s image. We listen carefully, value differences and look after our environment and one another.

• Hope – We encourage confidence in the future and trust that challenges can be overcome. Through hope, we learn to face difficulties with courage, believing that God is always with us and that growth is possible.

• Resilience – We develop the strength to keep going when things are hard. We learn from mistakes, persevere through challenges and support one another, trusting that God gives us strength in difficult times.

Together, these values help our school community to flourish, supporting pupils to grow academically, emotionally and spiritually while living out our Christian vision each day. They underpin our teaching and learning within which we promote our ethos of:

Our Christian values of Respect, Compassion, Honesty, Hope and Resilience make our school special and they are incredibly important to the whole school family of Little Gonerby Church of England Primary Academy. These values are theologically rooted, based on Jesus' teachings. 

We have high aspirations for every member of our school community to grow and flourish as children of God, prepared for an undetermined future and equipped with opportunities and experiences to have fullness of life, through Jesus.
