Sculptor Roger Lee Visits Year 2

Sculpture Day

On Tuesday (24th September) Year 2 were very lucky to spend the day with sculptor Roger Lee. The children worked hard all day to make a sculpture out of natural materials that reminded them on Wyndham Park. The children started the day helping Roger unload his car, Roger then explained the day ahead and showed us how to use the equipment. Year 2 then separated into mini teams to make boxes using wood and drilling holes to assemble the wood. The children helped Roger dig 2 big holes to put the main posts in. In the afternoon the children added direction arrows and objects that reminded them of Wyndham Park. We have even added the school logo and the numbers 150 to celebrate the school 150th birthday.

The sculpture looks fabulous and we are very proud of the children's achievements in such a little time.
