Guide Dog Visit
William the Guide Dog!
On Tuesday 26th February we were very lucky to have a visit from William (a guide dog) and his owners. We learnt about how guide dogs help people who are blind or are partially sighted get out of their homes by themselves. We also learnt that it takes almost 2 years to train a puppy to become a guide dog and that they work as a guide dog for up to 8 years.
William will be coming into school to visit us every Friday lunchtime during lent!
We are still collecting money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, so if you are able to spare a small amount to donate during Lent it will be gratefully received. If we can raise £300 we can then sponsor our very own class of puppies as they go through 'guide dog school'! Thank you for your support.
