Reading books and reading diaries
Children will be heard read during their guided reading sessions at least twice a week. Reading books can be changed on a daily basis or as often as your child needs to. Please ensure children's reading books and diaries are in their book bags at all times and feel free to add comments as you listen to your child read at home. If your child is on free readers we are happy for them to read any books from either home or school, but please still complete their reading diary. Thank you for your support.

'Where will your imagination take you?'
Children will be investigating, exploring and researching to find answers to this question using Roald Dahl's books as a focus. If you feel you are able to help us with this project we would love to hear from you!
Creating our own maps and algorithms of George's house to get the bluebots to find the ingredients for George's marvellous medicine!
Reception enjoyed watching the dance we created
'I wonder why explorers explore?'
Children will be investigating, exploring and researching to find answers to this question using one of our inspire + ambassadors, Sarah Outen MBE and Chicago, the home of our penpals as our inspiration. If you feel you are able to help us with this project we would love to hear from you!
During the term the children will be thinking about how to keep their bodies and minds healthy. They will be creating an outside learning space, with plants and food that can be enjoyed by the children and used in the kitchen for the children's lunches.
The children will be thinking about not just a healthy body but a healthy mind, through the Muslim festival of Wesak and they will be creating and selling their own healthy lifestyle top trump cards.
To complete our project the children will be creating their own games and sports which they will be teaching to our current reception children and hopefully some of the children from Wyndham Park nursery who are due to join us in September.
