Our essential question this term is "Where will your imagination take you?"
This will be linked to the text Charlie and the chocolate factory by Roald Dahl. We are exited to learn all about the different characters and the different rooms in the factory!
We recently received an invitation to a party on the 13th September to celebrate Roald Dahl's 100th birthday and we can dress up as a character from the story Charlie and the chocolate factory!
Week 1 and 2
We were busy finding out who Roald Dahl was and celebrating his birthday. We made hats, wrote fact-files, decorated the hall with bunting and wrote adjectives to describe who we dressed up as.
Week 3 and 4
We have begun looking at the different characters that we dressed up as for the Roald Dahl party. We have been exploring adjectives and looking at how we can make our descriptions more interesting. We have started to critique our descriptions to help each other make our writing even better each time. How would you describe your favourite character?
Week 5, 6 and 7
During the final three weeks of this term, we will be designing and creating a brand new room in the chocolate factory. We will be using our senses to make a list of what makes a good invention room which will help us to create our own.
