This term we continue with our key question:
What would it be like to
live like Royalty?
We have started this term by thinking about the commemorative mugs we would like to make.
This term we have been designers - drafting, creating rubrics and critiquing. We are so proud of our final products.
We have reached our next targets on our class reward rocket - we had a non-uniform and bring a toy to school day. We had great fun!
We have been thinking about other Princes and this led us to one of our favourite fairy tales - Cinderella. We have enjoyed making puppets, dressing up, role playing, creating story maps and writing the story.
Our role play area has changed - it is now full of props so that we can retell lots of different stories - can you see what stories we can role play from what is in there?
We enjoyed making fans like the one Cinderella took to the ball - they were very handy in this wonderful sunshine... We also have enjoyed lots of different Cinderella creative activities - like decorating a glass slipper!
Some of this terms independent morning activities...
Our Cinderella Ball
In the last week of term we had a wonderful time at St Marys at a sports morning with Reception children from their school and from Harrowby. It was great fun!
Our last week in Amethyst Class...
The end of the term meant it was time to say congratulations to Miss Dean who got married over the summer holidays and became Mrs Desmond, and to say a sad farewell to Miss Abbott who has been a valued and very fabulous member of the Reception team for the past three years - we wish her lots of luck - she will be missed.
Farewell Amethyst Class 2017-2018. You have been superstars and we are very proud of each and every one of you.
