Our key question is:
What was life like in a castle and why?
We continue with our key question from Term 3. The children will answer the question, culminating in a medieval banquet. This term we will also designing, making and selling medieval goods on our own stall as part of our whole school context fortnight. Such an exciting term ahead!
World Book Day
Diamond children celebrated 'World Book Day' on Thursday 3rd March by dressing up as a book character. The children looked fantastic in their costumes and enjoyed swapping stories with children and teachers in other classes, as well as sharing stories with their friends and completing some special activities. Our day finished with some parents coming in to the Diamond classroom to share their favourite stories with us.
Our Presentation of Learning
This term the Reception children at Little Gonerby have been finding out what life would have been like in a castle and why?
On Friday 4th March we finished our learning with a fantastic celebration day! The children all looked amazing in their costumes and the Diamond Castle was filled with beautiful princesses, handsome Princes and Kings, brave knights and even a dragon!!
The celebration began with a royal banquet of ham, chicken, cheese, bread and a choice of fruits and vegetables. The children also took part in some music making, medieval dancing and joke telling!
The celebration day finished with a special presentation of learning to the parents, with more singing and dancing, poetry and sharing of work. We had a fantastic day!
