Grandparents Day 2013
Over 130 grandparents and great-grandparents visited school today. This is the fourth year that we have held this special day, and it continues to grow in popularity. Cooking Club baked some delicious biscuits, and the Friends of the School were on hand to serve the refreshments. Recorder Club and Choir helped to entertain our visitors before the children came to the hall to take their grandparents on a guided tour of the school. The whole school was very busy with children and their grandparents trying out games on the new tablets and laptops, looking at books and seeing all the fruit and veg growing in the school gardens. A great time was had by all! Here are a few of the comments received;
"A wonderful atmosphere throughout the school. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to see our grandchild's daily life."
"What a very proud school, well done to everyone"
"The second year running for us and even better this time, thank you"
"the corridors and classrooms are a delight with all the projects on show. The gardens which have been created are now amazing. Congratulations all round."
"So nice to see so many happy children"
