Air Ambulance Visit

Air Ambulance Visit

Wednesday 6th March 2013

Today year 1 had a visit from the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance Paramedics. We learnt about what makes the air ambulance different from a normal ambulance and how they deal with an emergency. The paramedic pretended that Miss Preece had fallen off her skate board and had hurt her head, arm and leg. Rodger bandaged Miss Preece's head and put her arm and leg in a sling, he even put special stickers on her body so that we could hear her heart beat. After we went out to the playground and looked inside the Air Ambulance 4x4 and the other equipment that Rodger uses in an emergency.

We even had our photo taken - keep an eye out in the Grantham

Journal!!!!

We were hoping to have the air ambulance helicopter land at school today but unfortunately that couldn't happen because of the fog, but we are looking at rearranging the visit for after the Easter break - fingers crossed for better weather!
