Governing Body

The Governing Body is the academy's accountable body. It is responsible for the conduct of the academy and for promoting high standards. The governing body aims to ensure that children are attending a successful school which provides them with a good education and supports their well-being.

The governing body sets the strategic direction of the school, challenges and supports the school through monitoring, reviewing and evaluating its work, and ensures accountability.

At Little Gonerby, the governing body meets as a full body six times per year. However, smaller committees meet more regularly to monitor and evaluate the work of the academy. There are three committees, the Leadership committee,  the Learning and Teaching committee and the Finance & Resources committee.

In addition to the Academy Governors appointed by the Academy Members, there are also two Parent Governors, (elected by the parents of children on roll) two Staff Governors (elected by the staff team), the Head teacher and the Rector of St. Wulfram's Parish Church.
